I want to know the source of information for whoever wrote this on The Cutting Room Floor's page for Bomberman World.
"It's notable for being the last part of a BomberLore trilogy that started with Pocket Bomberman and for being the reincarnation of Virtual Bomberman, a canceled Virtual Boy game."
What do you mean TRILOGY?! Pocket Bomberman was literally one game before World! The two games aren't even related to each other!

Someone, go TCRF document all of "the mystery team" for the PSP - it has at least a debug menu, cheats, missing and cut content, loads and loads of strings, comments in the code, and code itself.
Just Sevenzip extract the ISO and go wild.
The game uses an ancient version of the Godot engine, but with Squirrel as the scripting language.
There's free internet points for somebody who wants to go through and explore all of it. There's loads of cut content. -
How I doom scroll at night when I can't sleep.

Out Of Bounds Discoveries in Nintendo Games
I had a different post ready to go today, but it's been delayed by a few days for unavoidable reasons, so let's do another Nintendo obscurity video, this time for things that can be found "out of bounds." There's several interesting c

I just went through a lot of nonsense glitches to see this for myself after hearing about it. In Paper Mario: TTYD Switch, if you don't have a hammer, the Hammer battle menu option will be gone entirely. This is impossible to encounter as you always have a hammer, but glitches now allow you to do this by storing the hammers (which are key items) at shops.
Why is this a thing in this remake? Is this a Paper Mario 64 leftover in GameCube TTYD that survived into Switch???

Romhack Thursday: Speculative Super Mario Bros. Prototype Recreation
Some months ago there were the "Gigaleaks," huge troves of internal Nintendo files and documents that revealed a lot about abandoned

#TheCuttingRoomFloor recently published about a newly discovered #February1989 #prototype of #DuckTales for the #NES: https://tcrf.net/Proto:DuckTales_(NES)/Feb_5,_1989
This version even included a couple of #chiptune music tracks that were replaced in the May and Final build of the #game! While not completely different, the legendary #TheMoon track also includes some changes (slower music, and actually a bit more complex/fleshed out).

@schoentoon and @Roujo (thanks!) getting more details from the desktop version of #Firefox, it looks like the issue is with the site using #TLS 1.0, rather than a much stronger encryption protocol. :(
I'll see if I have the spoons tomorrow to raise the issue with #tcrf. :)

okay, that's weird...
Using #GoogleChrome on #Android the #tcrf site loads without issues, and shows there's an #SSLCertificate present, issued by #LetsEncrypt:
https://mastodon.social/media/ZP6e6gYlMJ7hqj2eBX4However, it completely refuses to load via @mozilla #FirefoxFocus:
https://mastodon.social/media/NhIGy4-jHenpc7xBAZwAnd #FirefoxNightly loads the page, but says it's 'insecure' and doesn't seem to present an #SSL cert at all? Or at least 'Certainly Something' doesn't seem to detect it:

#TodayILearned that «One of the worlds that was cut [from Secret of Evermore] was called #Romancia "where 'everything is all flowers and sweet stuff, excessively so.' It was pink and purple."»

I loved #SecretOfEvermore for the #SNES. It's one of those #SuperNintendo #games I really ought to play again.I'd check #TheCuttingRoomFloor #tcrf for details, but it looks like they have #SSL certificate issues...
