  1. All certs give the same encryption — the real differences are in identity checks, automation, support, and compliance.

DV with Let’s Encrypt is perfect for most. OV/EV only matter if policy, contracts, or enterprise governance demand it.

  2. When two help each other, both are happy. 🤝 Because that's exactly what happened with Wander AG and our support team. ☺️ One morning, Wander had huge problems with its SSL certificate – and on a Monday to boot. But thanks to our «perfect customer service and super support», we were able to intervene quickly and ensure that everything worked as it should again. ✅ Thank you, dear Wander AG, for sweetening our break with all your snacks. 🙏 #support #sslcertificate #thanks #wanderag #nine

  3. Does anyone have experience with LetsEncrypt (certbot) and DNSSEC? 🤔

I have an issue with a hostname in a domain (that I do not have admin access to). The domain has a DS record, and certbot complains about invalid CAA this or that.

I found this, but can't really figure out if this points me to the issue at hand:

  11. I wanted to use #ActivityPubPlugin from #Wordpress, but I need an extra #SSLcertificate for my blog which is 36 a year, plus the domain is already 36 a year, plus my other website is 30 a year.... and a girl can only spend so much money in hobbies. So no, no ActivityPub on my blog for the time being. Unless I'm able to use it without SSL. Why do I need one as a blogger, anyway? I understand as a commercial web, but I don't get why I need one as a private domain.

  13. okay, that's weird...
Using #GoogleChrome on #Android the #tcrf site loads without issues, and shows there's an #SSLCertificate present, issued by #LetsEncrypt:
    mastodon.social/media/ZP6e6gYl

However, it completely refuses to load via @mozilla #FirefoxFocus:
    mastodon.social/media/NhIGy4-j

And #FirefoxNightly loads the page, but says it's 'insecure' and doesn't seem to present an #SSL cert at all? Or at least 'Certainly Something' doesn't seem to detect it:

  14. @witchescauldron
    Can you provide any specifics?

How did the #SSLcertificate stuff go?

We are trying to identify ways to bring more people into the FLOSS scene, especially following this week's revelations about mass-tracking (that we knew was happening).

In addition, we are still trying to lay basic foundations needed for ourselves moving forward.
