  8. Finished watching 'Magpie Murders' on TVNZ+. If you like your murder mysteries the English way, with villages, flashbacks to a nostalgia-soaked 1950's, and twists aplenty, you will enjoy this six-part series. And Lesley Manville, who is plays an editor turned amateur sleuth, is very good. Just a bit twee for me. I'm more of a tartan noir fan myself, preferring more 'grit'.
