How do detectives in fictional crime dramas not find the culprit by smell?
Got bleach on my hands this morning. It's now late afternoon, and despite washing them multiple times and applying moisturiser, every time I move my hands all I can smell is the bleach.
Surely killers who use bleach to clean up the crime scene will walk around for hours alerting anyone with a sense of smell?

Getting back into reading and really missing the Agatha Christie style murder mysteries. Written well enough that reading is easy, seriously intricate plots with a central puzzle to solve, and 8+ suspects.
Modern versions are either sloppily written, break genre conventions too much, or have like 4+1 suspects.

My mother's aunt, Dorothy Cole Meade published 4 books in the late 1930's, all of them murder mysteries. Though I have had the books many years, I only am just reading them now. I think this is a good example of her ability to set the mood on this rubber plantation where murders keep happening.
She lived in Jakarta with her husband who was assigned to the police services there for about 8 years. (He has his own adventurous book!)

⁉️ While the books were set in BC, and the show is set in Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast, the show is pretending it’s American and that the BC coast is relocated to Oregon.

I love #MurderMysteries of the "cozy" variety. But I've grown frustrated by the bad behavior the important characters tolerate, or perpetrate, in place of interesting interactions. Coming from a suspect, they'd immediately see it as something to investigate.
I found a show called Elsbeth. It's a spin off of The Good Fight and The Good Wife about the character of the same name. I'm really liking it because it's set up like a Columbo mystery. The audience sees the murderer and how they killed the victim, Elsbeth figures out who early on, and then spends the episode irritating the murderer. It's pretty good so far.

Got a BritBox subscription and have enjoyed rewatching the first few Death in Paradise episodes. Also The IT Crowd—so funny. I’ve found some short horror stories as well. And I’m just now starting Downton Abbey. So far, I've enjoyed two out of now three #YA #Thrillers #MurderMysteries written by Alexa Donne, The Ivies was great and Pretty Dead Queens was incredible. Crossing my fingers on me enjoying the third thriller also!

It's difficult to agree on everything with your parents, especially someone as old fashioned and stubborn as my mother (not that I didn't get the stubbornness from her), but #MurderMysteries do have a way of uniting people, don't they?

Why are so called COLD CASES or UNSOLVED MURDER CASES actually allowed to go cold? There's no statute of limitation on murder, so why are police allowed to just warehouse their failures? Why can't special teams be developed to put fresh eyes on these cases? I'd be willing to pay higher taxes for answers on these cases. I guess I'm naive?

Finished watching 'Magpie Murders' on TVNZ+. If you like your murder mysteries the English way, with villages, flashbacks to a nostalgia-soaked 1950's, and twists aplenty, you will enjoy this six-part series.And Lesley Manville, who is plays an editor turned amateur sleuth, is very good. Just a bit twee for me. I'm more of a tartan noir fan myself, preferring more 'grit'.
I honestly can't recommend #TangleTower enough to people who love #AdventureGames and #MurderMysteries . Exceptional animation on top of it too! #indiegame
