  13. UPDATE: The spinach died back, but the scallions kept going all winter, letting me clip a couple shoots every other week. Parsley kept going too. Now seeding sorrel and lettuce into the empty spots .....

  23. I needed to take a break from the doom and gloom, so I eyed spots in the yard for more wildflowers, a mini food forest, and a spot for three sisters (and sunflowers). I had good luck growing some beans in hanging planters (where the vines can climb), so I'll be doing that again, as well as growing greens, onions, sun gold tomatoes and red potatoes in containers. Attempting beets again, but the local critters like them a little too much.
