I don’t think that it is a coincidence that so much fake-doubt has been drummed up since the passing of Murray Sinclair. We lost a strong, principled, and completely unavoidable voice for the facts of deaths and abuse of children at residential schools and Canada’s cultural genocide against First Nations, Inuit and Metis peoples.
The right are trying to fill the void with doubt. As they always do.
We must resist them forcefully.
Residential School denialism should be classified as hate speech.
