  9. When creating defect reports for engineers, consider the word "issues" to be a pronoun. It doesn't mean anything without an antecedent.

    If someone wasn't having "issues" there wouldn't be a defect report. You haven't explained anything or enlightened anyone by saying that someone has had "issues."

    Instead, explain WHAT the issue is and HOW the issue comes about.

    Then go back and delete the word "issues." You didn't need it.
