Allá por el año de 1994 se fraguaba una película de ciencia ficción tan extraña como perturbadora bajo el nombre de "Nexus 2431" Una coproducción entre España 🇪🇸, Reino Unido 🇬🇧 y la extinta República Checoslovaca 🇨🇿
En un principio el guión planteaba una película de Espadas y Brujería al estilo de "Conan el bárbaro" ⚔️ (1982) pero por problemas con la producción se vendió a José Maesso que fichó a José María Forqué y a su hijo.
Entre los dos parieron una historia de Ciencia Ficción 🚀 con naves espaciales, modificaciones genéticas, algo de brujería 🧹 (algo tenía que quedar del guión original) y mucha, mucha imaginación. Los efectos especiales son dignos de un hilo a parte.
"Nexus 2431" iba a estrenarse por todo lo alto pero la disolución de Checoslovaquia 🇨🇿 en 1992 🇨🇿🇸🇰 desembocó en que fuera estrenada en vídeo, con una pequeña adaptación a comic y algún pase en "La 2" 📺 de TVE.

Hace poco vi "Forbidden Planet" 🪐 (1956) y me fije que estaba filmada en formato #CinemaScope 🎞️. Pero... ¿Qué es el CinemaScope? Básicamente se puede decir que fue un formato que permite una imagen más amplia y panorámica en la pantalla, con una relación de aspecto de 2.35:1.
El CinemaScope 🎞️ fue inventado por el ingeniero francés 🇫🇷 Henri Chrétien en la década de 1920, pero no fue hasta la década de 1⃣9⃣5⃣0⃣ cuando la 2⃣0⃣th Century Fox lo popularizó en el cine con películas como "The Robe" (1953) y "How to Marry a Millionaire" (1953).
Utilizaba una lente 🎥 anamórfica especial que comprimía horizontalmente la imagen en el negativo y luego la expandía durante la proyección. 🔚
