  1. I finally did it, now I have a shader/lighting system that can do color quantizing, mapping colors to a arbitrary color palette using different color models AND do dithering, all at runtime (and no matter how bad I am implementing this, framerate is still over 900), and I can mix all these effects:

  2. There is an short but interesting Article by Billy Basso on how he did rendering in #AnimalWell but the GIFs in the article are not available anymore. I digged them out of the internet archive, so I will post them here: blog.playstation.com/2022/07/2

  3. Experimenting with generating 16x16 pixel art tilesets in #Blender by using a compositing shader and some camera perspective tweaks. Palette quantization is still #wip because that's its own rabbit hole.

Best results are achieved by sticking to a grid, using 45-degree bevels, and retouching the output by hand.

I'll open source this when I'm done.

  8. Implemented a new dither shader for my dungeon + added fading walls if the camera goes behind them. #gamedev #godotengine #shadermagic

  9. Having a actual dialog manager🗣️ in my game now AND
being able to look around freely is what I am now happy with.

Next up is actually being able to take decisions. hehe
