  1. A new one for the #PoorUX experience which I've not seen before. This is #Qualtrics who are doing a survey for #VanguardUK

Yup, they're asking for a "positive or negative numeric value" but not accepting "+4" because of the "+".

  6. So today's lucky winner on my ongoing #poorUX reporting is #Tesco Bank who scored three times, which is a new record. They:

    1. don't accept spaces in the middle of phone numbers.

    2. don't trim() - that email address has a leading space.

    3. think all pet's names are four characters or more.

I despair. How hard can this be? Who's doing the UX testing? (No one)

  7. This time it's Highland Council who haven't discover the joys of trim()

  8. I really don't like search results that deviate from my original search terms once relevant results have run out. I know they want to show a fuller results list, but it ends up being more annoying than useful. 😠 #UX #PoorUX

  9. A pox on streaming services that make me choose an account (especially when only one is available) before I can watch something! 😠 #UX #PoorUX #annoyance

  10. Just another Kindle annoyance: if a book has been read through once, the furthest read is forever set to that. If you are rereading it and bouncing between devices, unless you manually set bookmarks, your current progress won't be synced. There's no way to reset that I can tell. 🙄 #UX #PoorUX

  11. Totally agree. Great way to put it. I'm not opposed to new tech (far from it), but I think the way companies approach it now is pretty awful and anti-consumer. #tech #degradation #PoorUX

  12. "A poor #userexperience can make or break a product. Most companies are not Microsoft and likely wouldn’t have withstood a fiasco like Vista. An opposite example is Docker, the engine that popularized containers, lightweight packages of code and all its dependencies that can run on any operating system with Docker installed. "

  13. I have a 2018 Sony “Smart” TV with an entire operating system on it… yet you can’t set an input label beyond 7 characters.

    What a stupid limitation!! 👎

  14. Dear banks: browsers have a back button for a reason! #banks #poorUX

  15. Can we talk about this "fantastic UX invention" called "infinite scroll" ... 💩🤔😑 and how it:

    - is not a good idea
    - does not improve the UX
    - leaves the user wondering if they missed something
    - makes for a "jumpy" experience
    - ..
