A day of Neolithic chambered tombs and artistic/delicious ice cream today. Two superb sites we haven't been to before (Cefn Isaf and Ystum Cegid), the latter cut short by cows-with-calves in the field, as well as a revisit to Caer Dyni after an ice-cream break.

Well, we've had a lovely last day on #YnysMôn.
We eventually found the famous stones that cross the river #Braint down at #Dwyran.
Braint was probably dedicated after a local Goddess on the island in times past.
These stones mark an ancient crossing, but locals say that these particular ones were put there in the 1980s.
The mountains in the distance are on the #Llŷn peninsula and include Yr Eifl mountsins, which is where the #Gangani tribal hillfort can be found, high above the sea level.

Daily #Wales part 6. To be fair I'm now pretty much castled out. There are only so many spiral staircase you can climb in one holiday and I've reached my limit.
#Caernarfon today, in shorts no less! I don't know whether my enthusiasm isn't there or what but while #CaernarfonCastle is pretty spectacular it wasn't my favourite. It'd be hell in high season.
#Llyn Peninsular tomorrow so fingers crossed for more nice weather.

One of the highlights & lasting memories of a few days away, journeying from the east to the far west (of Wales!) to reach the tip of the Llyn peninsula, the beach at Aberdaron & the Irish sea. (My sister’s sneeze was a bonus.)
