I’ve switched to Linux Mint 22.1 as my daily driver, and it’s the perfect environment for my workflow. I primarily use my setup for academic research and running open-source AI models locally. Having full control over my system resources makes a huge difference for local AI!

I have installed Arch and alpine on my laptop. I'm looking for a suitable OS that boot the device quickly. I can't see that much different between Arch and windows (2~3 min). Alpine is kind of helpful to the situation with ~1 min boot time.
Probably the major issue is the HDD in the lap. -

I just installed my favorite Linux distro: the latest version of Debian🐧
I prefer it because it is incredibly stable on my laptop. I previously tried Peppermint OS, Linux Mint, Linux Lite, MX Linux, and Ubuntu, but I kept facing frustrating 'initramfs' errors that forced me to reformat.
Out of all the distros I've used, Debian is definitely the most reliable one for me.
