Software is a social and political expression. Pretending otherwise is naive and dangerous. Biases in it's development impact marginalized groups in a myriad of ways, ranging from design, language choices, development team composition, prioritization of accessibility, target audience, localization PR's accepted and so on.
Separating the art from the artist is impossible when the product is the result of biases.

@eaglw I am not sure, I heard that Plasma supports more Graphic Features. It also has VRR, wich GNOME (i heard) doesn't have. Also KDE has drm-leasing (something like this) which seams to be necessary for VR. And #brodierobertson often talks about Wayland protocols, and something he say often is "everyone wants this, except for... gnome", so basically for Gaming anything would be better than GNOME, because they just refuse to implement things (afaik)
