A “train and bike” tour today, in #Austria’s 🇦🇹 very South.
This is the, German and Slovenian speaking, bilingual part of #Carinthia #Kärnten #Koroška: we see that the priest’s parking lot at the #Ledenitzen #Ledince funeral parlour is labelled “Pfarrer - Župnik”.
The beautiful stained glass windows representing the “Kreuzweg” “Križev pot” Way of the Cross are the work of Valentin Oman, an artist deeply rooted in the region.
And there was a coffee stop by the roadside, obviously. -

Something really special: a complete #transitmap of all regional #bus and #rail lines in my home region #Kärnten (#Koroška, #Carinzia, #Carinthia) 😍 Last year I was commissioned by the regional government to design a comprehensive transit #map to show regional public transit and also so-called micro public transit areas (demand-responsive transit or dial-a-ride transit).
Really happy and proud of what I had the honour to design!

#Carinthia #Koroška #Kärnten: #Austria’s 🇦🇹 very south. Today a hike on Mount #Dobratsch, right above #Villach. Quite a refreshing affair (🥶). Nevertheless wonderful views to the #Tauern range of the Austrian #Alps and the lakes area (where we usually go for a swim in summer).
