In case it wasn't clear, the reason that this word has the same meaning in #Russian, #Czech, and #Slovene is that all those languages belong to the Slavic group. Curiously, as a native Russian speaker, I've always felt that even though Slovene clearly feels Slavic, it is the most different one from Russian of all the Slavic languages, and Czech felt remote from Russian, too. But in Ukrainian and Belarusian, which are widely considered as closer to Russian, the word for "remember" is different.
