In autumn 2004, when these photos were taken, the old-fashioned, charming train station has seen a variety of workings by the iconic (and meanwhile withdrawn) #SNCF class #X2800 Diesel units in their twilight years. #PastTrainTrips

While travelling from #Venice to #Milan in November 2002 I came across this #FS #Trenitalia 🇮🇹 class E.402A electric working an eastbound #Intercity. Back then the loco was still displaying its original red and white livery and the “logo inclinato” on its nose.
