I can finally post this. Made it for a friend's birthday and gave it to her yesterday - she loved it!

I used a hand-dyed yarn in 2 ply (lace) and almost 700 size 6 beads.

Had a rummage in my stash and was surprised to find a number of yarns I can use for the Mitred Blanket.
Think I'll sort out then start with the lightest. Probably buy a couple of mini skeins in shades I'm missing.

Picked up a WIP shawl (had a rolled edge similar to Icord). Started knitting and realised I couldn't remember how I'd done the rolled edge. Fiddled for hours, searched the internet, but couldn't replicate it....argh! Pulled it all undone...boohoo.

Began something else...a new shawl. Completed the first 130 rows. About to start the first lace section.

Been offline for a week after eye surgery so picked up my knitting after a couple of days.
Wasn't happy with original idea for granddaughter's shawl so started & finished a different design. Going to undo the other and use this pattern instead.
Though the other was too 'heavy/old' for them.
Need to block this and add tassels to 2 corners.
Anyhow - back to editing...

Started on the shawl for one grandaughter. I'm knitting both in the same pattern just using different pink shades.
As I'm doing my usual meandering I thought this time I should actually write the pattern down as I go so both will be pretty similar.

Spent the morning working on my publisher's edits then gave my arms a workout.
Balled up 16 hand-dyed skeins for two shawls for my two grandaughters. I don't knit much in summer and as I want these for December I figured I'd better put any other WIPs aside and get started on these.

During El Nino it often reaches 46c (115f) - too hot to knit. Sadly could possibly go pass that figure this year.

Finished one WIP. No real pattern, just meandered along until I ran out of the wool I'd set aside for it.
4ply (fingering) approx. 800m used. (400m main colour, 80m each of other 5 colours), 4mm needle.

Started on #psychedelicaKAL yesterday. I'm using ChaioGoo red lace needles this time. Usually knit with KnitPro Symfonie for all my projects but I'd read some good reviews on the ChaioGoo so thought I'd try then - so far they seem nice.
Monday here so back to writing for a few hours then I'll knit a little this evening.

Not happy, Jan.
The yarn arrived today for #psychedelicaKAL and I discovered the store had labeled it wrong. On the website it was marked as 10 ply (Aran) but it's not. It's 12ply (Bulky).
I think I can still use it but I guess it means I won't need as much yarn - is that right?
