If you like twisty plots, where you don't know what's really going on until the end, I highly recommend this story. It's psychological horror, not slasher #horror. For fans of The Twilight Zone who wouldn't necessarily see a Freddy Krueger movie, so those who normally avoid horror shouldn't avoid this one. One of the best things Pseudopod has run.

At this point in the year, I'm usually finishing up the rewrite process, getting ready to format and publish my new book. Now, with a different job that demands more of my time, that's not the case. I have seven chapters of my first draft so far. The seventh isn't even finished. Whereas I used to be able to pen 5,000 words a week, sometimes I can barely get through 250. Life sucks, because it's never what you need, and when what you need finally arrived, the need for it is well past. Gershwin summed it up best when he said, "When you want 'em, you can't get 'em. When you got 'em, you don't want 'em."

But I will keep writing. Despite everything that life throws at me, I will have a finished product at some point. And maybe, maybe, maybe, I will have found an audience that likes to read at that point.
