  3. Stone Blind State Releases Americana-Drenched Irish Rock Single ‘There She Goes’

Stone Blind State has released their Americana-drenched Irish Rock single, ‘There She Goes,’ the first offering from their revamped lineup. The track showcases the powerful chemistry between guitarist Mick McDonagh and frontman Martin Furlong, whose songwriting pulls influences from Counting Crows and Irish folk heroes. Built on the unmistakable tone of a Les Paul and wailing slide guitar, the song paints a smokey bar scene and speaks of falling in love across the bar—a testament to the guiding storytelling hand of Springsteen and Vedder.

  4. Son asked what my favourite song was when I was his age ... TBH I've no idea it was one or two years ago ... but Something Happen's Parachute springs to mind and it was around the time I was 10 ... the big problem is ... that song was out like 34 years ago *cries* :D #somethinghappens #somethingages #irishrock youtu.be/-IDQBKcTvz8?si=Pa4Ajp

  7. Homesick
"Don't know how long I've been away
It's hard to say when it's the time to go
Just when you feel your dues are paid
You got it made, there's nothing left to show
Outside my room a light is flashing
So the night can never gain a hold
And in the language that the stranger
Doesn't know he's often easy rolled

And though I'm finding it hard to smile
I get the feeling that in a while
    It's alright
I was feeling kind of homesick
    But that's alright
    It's alright
I was feeling kind of homesick
    But that's alright

    Chances are for takin'
Fortune'll smile on the boldest one
    Don't feel forsaken
Keep on believing your time will come
    And you'll see it through

Don't know how long I'vе been away
It's hard to say when it's the time to go
Just when you feel your dues are paid
You got it made, there's nothing left to show

  8. I love these old videos of live performances by one of my favorite bands, Horslips. Yeah, I know, odd name, but great music! The band members are so young and so thin back in those days. Here's Mad Pat from 1975.

Rest in Peace and in Music, Johnny Fean. You played a mean guitar, sir.
