My home server migration to #proxmox is fully done. All VMs have a clean setup and I'm doing my first steps with #HomeAssistant. The i7-8700T CPU is a real power saving miracle. With six Debian machines started and no load in the VMs, it hovers around 1-2%. I don't think Windows VMs would produce a similarly positive result. The server consumes about 0,35kW / day in sum with external mechanical HDD for the file share.
