My wife and I attended GalaxyCon / Nightmare Weekend in Richmond, VA yesterday and I returned home with some SciFi-geek life goals fulfilled. :-)

I met The Last Starfighter stars Lance Guest (Alex) and Catherine Mary Stewart (Maggie) with photos and autographs. Good times!

(Cathy is also in Night of the Comet, another dear favorite of mine from the eighties!)

I just saw that Cindy Morgan has passed away. She was only 69, but in some great movies & TV shows: Tron, Caddyshack, CHiPs, The Fall Guy, The Love Boat. I got the chance to meet her in 2022 in Richmond, VA at GalaxyCon. She will always be remembered by me for playing Lora/Yori. Just a lovely person.

Earlier this month, I had the chance to travel to Columbus and enjoy my first GalaxyCon convention. This convention had a great lineup of sci-fi and fantasy actors, voice actors, artists, and more. There was one person in particular I wanted to meet as she is one of the best voice actors in the business.

Well, I was going to wear the #Stormtrooper gear this weekend but my handler had to cancel - my TIE pilot costume is still unfinished so guess who's going to #GalaxyCon this weekend?

OMG Jeff went to #GalaxyCon yesterday and got me THIS omg!! Now I have autographs from Kirk AND Uhura!

Barring any cataclysmic, extinction-level events (which, if we're being entirely honest, are a distinct possibility these days), #DrRobotnik will be at #GalaxyCon Columbus this Dec 1-3, 2023!

This means ME.

Decided to get a reservation at a 4-star hotel right next to the convention center rather than drive home every night even though I only live 10 miles away because I DESERVE TO BE WAITED ON HAND AND FOOT FOR A CHANGE

Absolutely gutted that Charlie Cox had to cancel GalaxyCon Raleigh (not that I blame him as often times these things are for a filming commitment). I had a duo photo op purchased with him and Vincent D'Onofrio. I'll go ahead and get Mr. Fisk and hope to catch back up with Mr. Murdock later. Luckily, there are others I hope to see as well:

Finally committed to a 1 day ticket to GalaxyCon Raleigh and a photo op with Charlie Cox & Vincent D'Onofrio. Outside of DragonCon, I don't usually buy event tickets that are too far out.

Also hoping to see Ming-Na Wen & Dave Foley, but still finalizing plans…

Still gutted that I'm not in Richmond, VA today for #GalaxyCon but COVID changed my plans when I tested positive earlier this week. I was supposed to be seeing (and getting a photo op) with Dave Foley, Charlie Cox & Vincent D’Onofrio. I'll get a second chance with 2/3 at GalaxyCon Raleigh this summer. Despite their non-refundable policy (seriously shouldn't encourage people to show up sick to not lose $$$), I was able to sell my tickets and only lose some money 😦
