My youngest daughter and I are die-hard fans of the Halo franchise, from the original launch through to Infinite. At least twice a week, we slip on our headsets, log onto #Xbox Live, and play a few levels in co-op mode. We yell out random bits of dialogue that have been imprinted into our brains after almost 25 years of game play. The #Halo theme song has also made it onto a few of my playlists.

I'm a diehard Halo fan. I used to travel with my Xbox to play 4-way multiplayer with coworkers.

But after S1, I was so aghast by how utterly awful '#HalotheSeries' was, I simply never bothered with S2.

I didn't think the showrunners deserved my attention after S1, no matter how much S2 improved. And I knew that stupid Kwan thread wasn't going away.

Good riddance.
