Had to replace my phone due to a hardware failure, and finally pulled the trigger on flashing with #GrapheneOS
So far, it's run flawlessly with all of my apps and my favorite part is it has sane defaults. A lot of things I worked hard to set up manually are just default settings, and all I can say is #feelsgoodman
My one complaint, and it makes sense and I fully understand why, is that there is no straightforward way to transfer apps, settings, and contacts, etc from a stock device to Graphene. Thankful for devs that support import/export configs, and #Syncthing for moving things over manually with relative smoothness.

Assembled a nice new mini-toolkit with new tools (and nuts and bolts and shims and...) and put my windscreen back on today. Went out for a nice long ride, noticed the windscreen was crooked, pulled off into a gas station and fixed 'er right there with the new toolkit. #feelsgoodman
I'm noticing the deeper in the country I get, I see more bikes but less clue. So many gearless dudes!
One returned the moto salute with a V for victory, and I was like... did he just hope I flip at 55mph?! 😅

@dmaonR #feelsgoodman I haven't completely rid myself of that 2008 legacy tho; there's still one server left... mercifully it's virtualized, proxied, and effectively inaccessible to the larger interwebs.
I also have a couple Ethernet switches running 3500 days uptime. One FreeBSD router doing about the same, and it only got restarted due to datacentre move... that's all getting replaced with Juniper QFX and Arista DCS gear imminently.

Sometimes when I'm tired or super bored, I boot up my Xbox 360 next to my desk, which is connected to my pc via capture card.
I can use that to play xbox through OBS, and play old games with HD sound through my headphones. #feelsgoodman

A few times a day, my phone will buzz or I’ll see an email come through and it’s someone on mastodon who I idolize, or have only heard about, or saw write an article once or I have never met. And they are liking or boosting or following. And it’s not to help feed an algorithm, it because they genuinely like what I said. #feelsgoodman

I got an endorsement from a former boss, from when I was blue team forever ago, on LI ("hire this guy, he'll knock your socks off!"). #FeelsGoodMan
I'm my biggest critic by far but then I remember I write red team tools even if I'm the only one currently using them. My lockpicks were considered so good that people on five continents bought them, and they got a mention in a Deviant book. Senior Director at Mayo, during an interview for a Directorship years ago, asked me how many people in the world could do a specific hack I did because I was bored and curious.
I suck but maybe not as much as I let myself think sometimes.

After my escapades this weekend with #Github vs #Gitea, I have now set up a Gitea instance on our work network using #Tailscale so that all code for work will be hosted there instead of at Github.
The move between the two systems is so easy, two lines of git commands and that's it. -

I got my first level 99 in #Township the other day. It took about two weeks to reach it while trying to grind my way to getting the town hall. It's a passive skill, but #FeelsGoodMan nonetheless :toot:
