  1. Making muffin-sized quiches for the market. What do you think?
Roast poblano, smoked Gouda, bacon quiche? OR Crabby & Bitter Morning Quiche, which has crabmeat, bitter greens and pepper jack cheese.
I also have little sides of sauce for them. One is bitter greens chimichurri (salty & herby), the other is mango habanero chili sauce (sweet & spicy).
Idk about you, but I'd eat these things if I saw them at the farmer's market. What would you pay for a single food item like that?

  2. Where are my bitter greens people? Just made arugula, mustard, Thai basil chimichurri and idk if it's amazing or if I'm just feral all the way down to my greens. It tastes like pure sunshine and earth, with a little olive oil and ground almonds to smooth it out. I ate some with a spatula and a biscuit. 🤣 I have some leftover marlin that maybe I'll try it on. Other ideas? #cooking #recipes #foodie #homestead #farmtoface

  3. Made the pa-kimchi. I made a full gallon of vegetarian scallion kimchi and stuffed the jars. Now it sits until it smells right. 😎 #cooking #slowfood #FarmToFace

  4. Ulu (breadfruit) Roasted whole, in 400°F oven for 1.5 hrs. with a tray of water under it. All off the same tree, but at different stages of development. The one with the foil is a ripe/sweet one that's good with butter and brown sugar. The others are mature/savory ones that can be used like potatoes, only more nutritious. 🌱 #cooking #farmtoface #homegrown #homestead #tropics #foodforest

  5. Ok! They aren't fritters, tots OR puffs. They are ulu (breadfruit) nuggets, with a little bit of tot-ness.
I steamed and roughly mashed the HOME GROWN breadfruit, added tiny diced onion, garlic, duck egg, goat milk, creole seasoning, pepper, salt, dried parsley. Rolled them into nuggets, rolled in corn meal, like catfish. Fried in olive oil/peanut oil blend. The long ones have mozzarella cheese filling, like fried cheese, only the outside is the mashed breadfruit mixture. If you've never had breadfruit, at this stage of ripeness, it's kind of like potatoes. A+++ will nugget and/or stuff with cheese again. 👍🏽👍🏽

LMFAO I see the alt text typo says "goofball sized" and not "golfball" sized, but you know what? imma leave it. 😆

  6. The entire добыча from yesterday. 🥰 There is so much bounty on this land and I am so grateful for these gifts. 🙏🏼
Eggplant, upo squash, tiny pineapple, okra, dragonfruit, breadfruit, lemon, mango, coconut. 🤤🥰💖 #eatlocal #farmtoface #foodie #farming #tropicalagriculture #neverhunger

  7. I decided to make monkey butter. Fe'i bananas, juice of one pink eureka lemon, pulp of one large lilikoi (passion fruit), shredded coconut, a dollop of coconut oil, sugar and enough maple syrup to leave a hint. Cooked until desired consistency. Jar it up, keep in fridge or freezer. 🤤 It tastes like a roll of tropical fruit lifesavers. 😆

  11. If you aren't shredding raw pumpkin into your hash browns, you are doing it wrong. Yes to adding diced onion, garlic, ginger, curry powder, duck egg, panko crumbs, a little shredded coconut, a little corn starch to make it crispy, salt, pepper. Fry in niter kibbeh ghee or olive oil.
It is was so good. No pics sorry, ate it all.
    Love these pumpkins, really versatile. #cooking #farmToFace #homesteady #EatLocal

  12. Cornbread was the right choice. A gremolata topper, and the veal is fork tender. Osso buco FTW

  13. Who wants to talk about the osso buco I'm making for dinner? ME me. I do.
The rose veal was raised by a #farm friend. I'm making cornbread instead of polenta bc I wanted something more bread-like to soak up the rich broth. I'll try to remember a picture when I dish it up, but it's stew-like, so not always easy to capture the flavor in a pic. #cooking #FarmToFace #homesteady

  14. Cinnamon basil, lemon juice, lemon zest, ginger, pineapple juice, honey and ice. Blend until smooth. It was both medicine and a delicious frozen treat. 🤤
