They were giddy and laughing with joy.

TBH the left demonstrate how foolish they truly are when they cling to a corporate-owned social media platform. It is clear to me the mechanics of capitalism - to be a brand and to sell oneself as a product - is so ingrained in the minds of the left they are unable to let it go.
I doubt many on the left are even aware of the snare of capitalism. What is an aggressive, invasive outlook - the language of advertising and PR - to them is just normal life, the natural way things are.
