Shout out to our friend @aaronsgiles!
He just now released version 3.0 of DREAMM which is a universal emulator for classic LucasArts games, from the original SCUMM adventures, to the various flight sims, to early 3D games, and everything in between.
This version adds support for all remaining DOS-based LucasFilm/LucasArts games (plus some goodies), adds a CRT simulation filter, support for add-on packs, and tons of small changes.
(In reality, it's at least 200+ new features and fixes, promised!)

Finally got my kickstarted barebone #Commodore #64X Mini-ITX computer case, and it looks really, really great!
Already got a beautiful #C64C case containing an excellent #Ultimate64Elite, so this won't be a #C64 emulator, but I might stuff it with enough hardware to run #Amiga, #MAME / #DREAMM & #Nintendo stuff.

That’s right. #DREAMM added beta support for this -> I went to eBay and bought a copy -> it has arrived.
What a rollercoaster life I lead. I look forward to spending far more time reading the manual than actually playing it.

I'm playing TIE Fighter (French, CD edition), my favorite game of all times in Dreamm and it runs flawless!
God, I still know word for word all the dialogues of the cutscenes! 😅
But I have lost my skills! Awful! Fucking A-Wings !
Thank you again for your work !
Do you know if it would be feasible to port X-Wing : Alliance? This beast is almost impossible to launch on linux, even with the amazing work of the #wine and #proton teams… -

One of the big challenges with DREAMM is identifying and supporting all the official releases... and there were a LOT! Thankfully, I have had the amazing help of several contributors to track down international versions. Here's where we're at as of DREAMM 2.1.
Green = disk images found
Yellow = loose files only
Gray = never released -

Full list of games supported as of DREAMM 2.1.
This was honestly not the direction I thought I'd go when I started the project. But that's the fun of just following what interests you!
I originally thought I'd focus on the 16-bit DOS games, with the knowledge that I'd surely be tackling 32-bit DOS games eventually, in order to support the later SCUMM titles. But then true FM-Towns support happened, which was a fun rathole. Once that was done, there was just Curse of Monkey Island left in the "SCUMM" category, which tricked me into adding minimal Windows support. But from there, going full on into substantial Win32 and DirectX emulation to support 3D games? So not in the original plan!

@aaronsgiles Hi Aaron, I found a crashing bug in #DREAMM 2.1b6 on MacOS 13.4.1 and wanted to report it:
1) Launch DREAMM in windowed mode
2) Enter fullscreen mode by pressing the green maximize button in the title bar
3) Attempt to return to windowed mode by pressing Command-ReturnThis causes me to get a “An unexpected exception was thrown” dialog, and DREAMM exits.
Interestingly, it doesn’t happen when fullscreen mode was entered by using Command-Return, only when it was entered by using the maximize button.
Other than that, it’s been rock solid for me so far. Great work!
