For first attempts decoding #digimode signals with fldigi, wsjtx, and the like, in a quiet room: A laptop microphone picks up signals from a #hamradio rig's speaker nicely.

You can even send with a TRX's hand-mic close to the computer's speaker. Having to push PTT manually is somewhat inconvenient in the long run, though.

So aside from #FT8, which #digimode is best for #DX? All of my contacts on other modes have been relatively local.

I think tomorrow I'm going to experiment with #THOR #digimode on 20m at around 1800 UTC.
