Sending data over free radio waves with no license.

Digital modes are allowed over #FRS radio (as of 2017), without an #AmateurRadio license. Here is a test I performed, using #fldigi to decode the data.

You have done something very unusual in the current time with old hardware. I cannot say I am a fan of the work of fiction, but your technological demonstration is something I appreciate. This reminds me of my tests sending data over #AmateurRadio and decoding with #fldigi.

I was once an owner of a #C64 and am impressed yours is still working!

@KC8JC feeling the same but not limited to #WSJTX but also #JS8call and #Fldigi. As I have no clue of C/C++, I would have do a complete rewrite. That is also beyond my capabilities.

@hamchallenge I must have heard the RTTY transmission a million times, often using it as an indicator for how long the skip is on 30m. Today I finally decoded it for the first time with fldigi, with the settings described by @ian in his blog (450Hz shift, 50 bd, 5N1). I was not patient enough to wait for an actual weather report, though. #HC20S #rtty #fldigi

It seems I have mostly fixed the issue of non-centred images when decoding using FLDigi.

I think it was a combination of the audio level being too high and not enough audio bandwidth.

Just looking for some advice from anyone else who uses FLDigi to receive HF weather fax transmissions...

I have "auto image centering" selected, but many images are offset. Is this a fault of FLDigi or am I doing something wrong?

Playing with AndFLmsg today. Seems like this Android app is not very well known but it's essentially FLdigi and FLmsg wrapped into one. Here I'm monitoring some Olivia 8/250. The audio is via Bluetooth (bidirectional) to the Icom IC-7200. #hamradio #nbems #amateurradio #android #fldigi

I'm trying to connect Fldigi to Wavelog but without any success unfortunately. When using the “Cloudlog" API option in Fldigi the application crashes. I'm not sure if this option is recommended when using Wavelog. The WavelogGate docs mentions Fldigi support but i'm not sure how to have Fldigi send UDP ADI broadcasts to WavelogGate. Is there anyone who could help? Any other tips are welcome! #fldigi #hamradio #wavelog #waveloggate

I want to check if it can decode my bad manual / handpump transmission, as reverse beacons did not hear me.

Any #hamradio #amatureradio pros with #fldigi have any resources, YT video links for how to tune the #morsecode receive features? I would like to know how to use this software to decode Morse, but the features don't tell you what they mean, just what that button is called. I want to know how to adjust sensitivity, signal width, etc etc.
