Not much orange on the nose but a really nice interplay of snappy citrus orange and dark flavors in a rich body. Let it warm!

Been watching Kaos on Netflix, so happy that #surlyBrewing Darkness 2024 helps explain the Minotaur to my wife

Second pour - Chocolate Limoncello
This is so different! Huge lemon nose, starts citrus and settles into tart sour with a hint of chocolate. Long lasting finish edges into cleaner flavors… Small pour suggested!

Got to sample the 2008 #surlyBrewing #Darkness and it was amazing. Smooth as silk.
The 2018 was good but not as smooth.
May have “borrowed” the sample glass, can neither confirm nor deny.

PINTHOUSE X SURLY: HENRY MCKENNA 10YR BOURBON AND TATTERSALL AQUAVIT BLENDED BARREL-AGED DARKNESS WITH UGANDAN VANILLA
While it’s not “light” it has far less pallet coating for a lighter finish. Vanilla hints and overall smooth with a sweet final.
