Never realised that #Behemoth had done this.... "When we heard Deep Creek went into liquidation, we wanted to help. We hired two of their staff, we also bought all of their 750ml Barrel Aged Beers from the liquidators, intending to use the proceeds to support the Deep Creek staff who missed out on their wages and holiday pay."
So was just in time to snag the last bottle of
Deep Creek Hamish Blake Gus 🍻 plus some Behemoth brews. -

Spectating for a 15K race and we put in 5 miles walking of our own. 32 degrees out!
Warm up with lunch and a #wayfinder Smoked Secret Secret Czech-style dark lager.
A decent dark, but light on the smoke. Not bigly flavorful on any other notes. 4.9% so easy drinking.

Also found some beers from one of my favorite French breweries, La Débauche, at the supermarket in Villebois-Lavalette.
And I think there's a Dutch connection here. The cans are black which is typical for a specific Dutch microbrewery. That brewery is ran by engineers that also monetize their knowledge about packaging their beers. They can even build you a complete canning line! I wouldn't be surprised if La Débauche has had some help from them.

#bizzareBrewing Evil One says it’s a #stout brewed with coconut and vanilla.
But it’s missing the coconut and vanilla! It’s a coffee stout with some roasty malt and chocolate notes. OK but not at all what was expected, and even close to a pastry to my tastes.

Burnt peanut masks the chocolate, too sweet with coffee overtones. Not a favorite.

The newest packaged beer to join the year-round lineup from #GoodLifeBrewing is Wave Park #HazyIPA, named for the wave channel of the nearby Bend Whitewater Park. The beer is 6.7% ABV with 65 IBUs, available on draft and in 12-ounce cans; the brewery recently provided me with a six-pack to review.
