A while ago I was at a bottle shop - chain of franchise stores - with a super helpful owner. Interested in what I was looking for... And dropping info that he could order lots of things that weren't on the shelves.
We also talked about aging certain types of #CraftBeer... Which led to him asking: "but surely you don't drink brews past their best before date?" I sure do, mate.
Opening this Wilderness #BarrelAged #Stout reminded me of that conversation 😁

Prohibition Porter by Liberty Brewing 🇳🇿 has a special place in my hoppy & malty heart.
Their 2017 edition is where it all started... Seeing the beauty that lies in darkness. Barrel aged magic.
This 2022 version was the last one of my Prohibition Porter stash... And the last of the bottled version. Now all that remains are the modern canned versions.

Crimson Keep is a fabulously cooling BBA red ale. Sweet, malty, caramel, tart cherry and fruity notes. Refreshing!

I’d roll in this quad mud any day! Rich with caramel and vanilla, full bodied with a whiskey and maple finish.

More than a year later and this one has developed nicely. Flavourful, better balance. Sometimes it makes sense to buy 2 (or more 😁) of a new brew.
