Practicing my handwriting. You can tell im out of practice, took me a few tries to remember how to do the capital M. I think i need to do aome practice on thr capitals, particularly M, W, B, and D

I don't know what's going on with the vintage pen nib community, but five years ago or so you had to pay a good £45 to get a sealed box of Gilbert & Blanzy Poure Departementale Cementee nibs on ebay, and now they're going for like £25 (plus shipping).

In honour of Amanda Gorman's poetry, here are the last two lines of her inaugural poem, which so moved me on 20 January 2021 that I copied them into calligraphy.

Illustrated prints, made with a #copperplate or a #woodblock, on paper were often good-selling 'popular' products of the early modern printing industries. Some of these prints were serials, some were hand-colored after printing, and children came often into contact with them. Here, these prints are lying on the floor waiting for attention. #BookHistory: tidy up.

Playing with the archaic long-s style.
1 is the modern form,
2 would be the form from 18th century and before,
3 is replacing all styles of s with the long-s

My reattempt at the Aleister Crowley quote. A few notable mistakes but considering i haven't practiced in months id say its a lot better than i expected. I clearly need to get back t practicing though as the writing looks a bit strained.
