After working as an art school dean in Italy through the mid century she set her heart on the deserts of the American Southwest. By working with famed architect Antoine Predock to create artist residences and a hundful of Domican nuns to handmake thousands of adobe bricks to build Our Lady of Guadalupe chapel, a vibrant art school campus emerged. The location, now called Patio Escondido is a registered historic site. Filled with community, intention and care, the spirit of Sagrada Art Studio lives on. This is so cool, I love the skeletons marching in the fog in the distance, I love the grasping and desperation of the expressive skeletons, they need that life, that beauty, that vitality, the woman seems sort of surprised and modest but maybe not terrified. Some of my octopus art to celebrate the cephalopods this World Octopus Day! Most recently I made the dumbo octopus, a charming Grimpoteuthis octopus, one of a genus of pelagic cirrate (finned) octopods known as the dumbo octopuses. The fins reminded scientists of ears on the elephant in Disney’s 1941 film Dumbo. Hence their common name dumbo octopuses.

This is a spectacularly bad artwork attachment for a #Japanese #Woodblock I bought.

I knew it would be attached something like this because the frame it came in was so cheap

For a print this size two small paper hinges are needed which will allow the artwork to expand if it needs to and attachments should always be adhered to the back, not the front. I'd also make the attachments using Japanese paper. Self adhesive tape shouldn't be used

New Hobby alert 🚨 I've been making little stamps out of these pink erasers. I've had all these woodblock / lino cutting tools for a while and never did anything with them because I found the materials too hard. Pink erasers are super easy to cut into!
