I had Strava turned on from
🏠 to #Manila
to #Calamba
to #Pateros.

I'm missing a couple of segments' data -- a couple of times I hit Stop and forgot to hit Resume when we continued riding.

The report ends in Pateros because that's where I stopped pedaling, at a safe bright spot, and hired a #GrabCar to take me and my #bike home. My body's been complaining on and off even before we got to Calamba. It's a miracle I made it that far. 🙏 See image caption for details.

I had #BikeCitizen app recording my trip. Fortunately the battery lasted for the entire 1-way ride. I started recording at the police outpost in #Manila.

I tried to ride on pedal power and only used #PedalAssist when necessary. Even with that I struggled with this long ride. But all those stops and the encouragement from my companions helped. 🙏

The pollution and traffic was terrible though. 😣!

The #Manila to #Calamba 1-way trip is 56~60km -- we adjusted and took a different route at some point.

There were >40 of us when we started out. Plenty of stops along the way -- refreshment stops, bathroom breaks, fixing bike trouble. There's so many of us that when we cross an intersection others don't make it in time. But it's fine because we got marshalls and sweepers. You're never last because there's always an experienced sweeper at the end. 🙏 #bikes #cycling
