#Foldie 一間播放著落日飛車和後搖的 vegan 餐廳。剝皮辣椒客家桔醬鳥巢麵，醬香濃郁、吃起來清爽無比，必點，覺得比小小樹食的料理好吃。這裡的菜餚、點心和飲料選擇也多，食物滋味甚有巧思，某人生日的這天，吃得盡興。

午後去看 90 多歲的老人家，買了 #純發，筍子排骨湯細嫩無比，滷肉飯也好吃，加上蔥油餅和紅豆餅，重點是有我們一屋子老小當配菜，老人家也吃得開心。

負責買單的一天結束，很開心大家的開心🍻

True. Cars are high maintenance. And I'm no good at that. 😅

And with #cars, if it breaks down you'll need a tow truck. But with my #bike, I can fold it and hire a car to get me and my bike home... safely and comfortably. 🤪

He was riding his #foldie #bike when the frame broke. He's alright. Happened at a small interior road, not on a major busy street. And he had his helmet on.

Some blamed the allegedly poorly done welding. I blame the rather thin alloy and our poorly paved roads that cause lots of stress to #bikes & #cyclists. 🚴

I had planned to attend 🚴 the monthly general assembly of #foldie #bike users this Sunday morning. But decided I need to rest some more from Saturday's afternoon ride to Intramuros.

I got a new bruise when I got home Saturday evening. 😕 No, I didn't fall. It's the kind of bruise you get for no reason. I'm taking that as a sign that my body had a little too much.

That's in addition to the bruise I got on Thursday night. Yeah. I fell. 😅

I've decided I should let go of Li'l Blue 🚲. 😐

Don't know what's wrong with me, I just can't ride it. I tried again today. I'm pretty bad at it. Too wobbly -- not the bike, it's me. Would be dangerous if I rode it on the streets.

I wonder if anyone would want to buy it. For an old #bike, I did spend quite a bit for it. Bought it for ₱5.5k, then got the IGH checked and cleaned, and bought a new Shimano shifter. Total cost goes over ₱7k.

I really wanted to make it work. ☹️

Yes.

The handlebar can be folded down too, but requires an allen key thingy. If ever* i decide to do some malling while rolling my #foldie around, the Trolley & Bungee solution is still better (for me) than just rolling by the Rear Wheel & Handlebar (tested it at home and it's too cumbersome).

Nice. So it has those little wheels and rolls like a Brompton? I've seen someone pushing their little #foldie (didn't notice the brand) and it looked awkward to me because he was pushing it by the seat and the seat wasn't pulled up high enough. Are you comfortable pushing your #bike around in the mall?

Anyone ever tried converting an old Japan surplus #bike with #IGH to an #ebike?

Not looking for fancy. Just need functional.

How simple/complicated is it? Please share resources. I haven't been successful in finding the answers I need.

I was* hoping to join a long ride this Sunday with a group of #foldie #cyclists. It's their yearly #Tomb2Womb ride -- from where our national hero #JoseRizal died to where he was born. I felt like I could do it even though it's 60kms each way. My problem was #cycling to the meeting spot @ Kilometer Zero in #Manila -- it's a long way and i didn't feel safe cycling alone. I asked the group of there's anyone i could ride with from my city to Manila. Nobody. 🙁 So i got lazy.

Oh, #BigBike is a 26" #MountainBike. 😃 It folds, but it's huge and heavy. Nothing like those Bromptons or Dahon #bikes.

My other #bike is #LilBlue, a 16" Japan surplus. It's a #foldie but also nothing like those fancy expensive ones. It has a basket and rear rack. I plan to use it for small errands and short trips 😁

I mostly practice with #BigBike. Feels more stable. Not easy riding on small wheels with no #PedalAssist, especially for li'l ol' me. 🙃

Thanks. 🙂 Yeah, it's an #ebike. But I hardly use the power features. I only learned to use the throttle and pedal assist recently, thanks to kind strangers who showed me how.

I love my #bike. 😊 I chose it as my #OneBikeToRuleThemAll -- meaning no more upgrades and selling/swapping. But then I found out only wheels 20" or smaller are allowed on our metro. So I also got me an old #JapanSurplus 16" #foldie. 😁
