This is especially true since I (and many others in AI of that era) did not and do not believe it is the most powerful approach to AI. We are on the cusp of integrating these techniques in powerful new hybrid systems that combine #statistical #associative methods with #semantic #conceptual methods. /1

I noticed early (in high school) that my #memory works a bit peculiarly. It's really difficult for me to invoke things out of nowhere. (Like, pulling knowledge out of my memory on a white sheet, drawing, etc.)
But I have a giant #photographic and #associative memory. Given an initial pivot, I can go further and further, kinda like a Wikipedia hole.It was difficult in school because it rendered me very inefficient for dissertations, and exams in Uni.
