  1. CW: subject: eating disorders

I have (at minimum) a couple eating disorders, one of them being ARFID, and for all my life these have been considered "personality flaws." Which, to put it mildly, absolutely did not help AT ALL.

If there is something I can't eat, it's not "being picky." It is "I start projectile vomiting across the room."
So when this happened, I was accused of doing it on purpose.
Autistic people often have trouble with food, and eating disorders are not uncommon.

  10. No one is going to give me a fucking serious answer because I'm a weak minded piece of shit according to the majority of the internet…

But do any other autistic people have this relationship with spice where it's like… I'm not a super champ but I do REALLY REALLY enjoy certain foods like tonight I got a street truck paneer dosa and I'm SO hungry and my mouth thinks it wants more?? But also a few bites is enough and I don't feel capable of eating more even though I'm HUNGRY and it TASTES REALLY GOOD? But I just… can't… eat… more…

Like my "flavor" intake is maxed out EVEN THOUGH IT'S DELICIOUS I just can't tolerate a lot AND EVEN THOUGH I'm still ravenous…

Feeling like a genius bc i figured out that my sandwich will fit into the dipping vessel if i cut it in half 🤣😭🫠

In "the before times" this would have been deeply distressing for me, but now, with this technological development, dipping vessel depth is much less formidable/more manageable of a problem

Also, for context: im pretty sure i have #ARFID and eating sandwiches is itself a recent evolution, im so fkn proud of how far ive come 😭
