  1. You know, America is 250 years old today. That's a lot of years to be a nation and while the history of the country I call home isn't always the best, I still love America more than I do pretty much every other nation if I'm being honest, because it is my home. Today, instead of me making some super controversial post that'll probably ruffle people's feathers and will lead to nothing but stupidity, I challenge you to name the good things that America has done well. People easily point to the US's mistakes, but plenty of European nations have also done some very terrible things, but I'm not here to cast blame or anything in fact, I love Europeans, but I also feel that those who were born here in the US forget just how good we actually have it. I had to actually take a test to get my citizenship. I had to go through a whole process and prove by law and with paperwork that I am indeed worthy of the rights that are written in the US constitution and you know what? I don't regret it in the slightest. The US has given me so many opportunities that simply aren't available in other nations, and the cultural considerations that the US have regarding disability aren't perfect, but in Colombia in the early 2000's, I would never have been able to do something as simple as going to school or having any form of true education. Now, I'm a college degree holder because I was lucky to have the ability to do what I needed to do to have what i do now for which I am grateful. I know very well that America isn't at all perfect, but we're also a very young nation, we're not the UK which is 2000 years old, but America is a nation which I will love to quite a large degree until I die, and that's final. #US, #UsPol, #Politics, #IndependenceDay, #AmericanPride
