Used mp3tag to export all embedded album covers in my music collection to cover.jpg files in each folder, and now gonic can see them and I have album covers in my personal Spotify :partyparrot:

A very interesting effort to preserve the iPod click-wheel games: using a virtual machine that can sync them to an iPod! 47 out of the 54 total released games are available.
I only had Spore Origins myself, but I lost the installation file. Can’t wait to install and play it again on my iPod nano 3rd gen 😌

Been kind of busy lately, but I've been playing some NFS: Most Wanted on the GBA, it's quite nice. Not sure why I didn't play it before when I played Underground 1 & 2...
The Mazda RX-8 with no body kit looks pretty funny in it, like it's doing an evil laugh :grinmsn:

Found this fork of AsusWrt Merlin that supports more Asus routers, including my RT-AX92U, and seems to be kept up to date! Thinking of installing it, and running the diversion DNS ad-blocker on it. https://gnuton.github.io/asuswrt-merlin.ng/

Lately there's been more and more RAR'd torrents being downloaded by my NAS, and Radarr/Sonarr can't import those.
Just found out about "unpackerr", which automatically unpacks everything in your downloads folder. It is working pretty well! It has a whole backlog to go through now 😅

Pretty happy with it so far!
The audio is the same as the old unit, and now I don’t need to have my phone on a stand anymore as I can have both maps and music on the same screen and it looks cleaner.
Google Maps was a bit slow on the old unit, so I only used it to run music streaming and stuff, and had maps on my phone.

Swapped my car’s head unit this weekend. I was prepared so it took less than 4 hours this time!
First pic is the old one, it ran Android 8 and had physical buttons and a volume knob.
The new one just has wireless CarPlay & Android Auto (and radio) with no other OS.
Because it has no volume knob and I really like it, I got their wireless steering wheel control and stuck it on the dashboard, as it has a rotating volume wheel around the buttons 😂 -
I think it’s time to upgrade my desktop. Currently have a 10 year old i7-3770K 😅 Thinking about the Ryzen 7 7700 or 7700X, any thoughts?

Really like this IPS screen on my Gameboy Color, it’s the same size as the original and didn’t require trimming the shell, so I used the original transparent one.
Also like the pixel effects, the vertical lines option makes it look the most like the original screen in my eyes.
Currently playing this English translation of Star Ocean: Blue Sphere https://gbatemp.net/threads/star-ocean-blue-sphere-for-gameboy-color-english-translation-has-been-released.556461/

Seems my Galaxy Flip’s screen died too early to make it worth buying, but just in time so I get to experience the launch of @altstore on my new iPhone!
My previous iPhone was the 3G, skipped all the lightning versions 😛

Replaced a problematic power outlet with this one from Amazon and it's pretty cool. I can now charge my iPad while watching videos and washing the dishes... without a charger! :blobcatbolb:

If it is not 32-bit, it would benefit the most. 32-bit boards are faster and more accurate, so this would benefit all printers and have the most benefit if you have an 8-bit board.
All prints in this thread were done on a #Creality #CR6SE, which is 32-bit, and you can see the increased performance. So imagine on an 8-bit.

Removed the factory screen protector from my #ZFlip4, as dust was beginning to get under it at the crease. Also, the peel had expanded from one end of the screen to the other, making a popping sound sometimes when closing the phone...
I've ordered a new one that will get here in 2 days, hopefully I will be able to install it. :blobcat3c:

After ~5 months of ownership, my Galaxy Z Flip4's factory screen protector started to slowly peel at the hinge area 🥹
Guess I will have to wait until it gets worse and get it replaced by Samsung's service. It happened a little too soon, RIP screen protector.

@xerxesshouldnthavewon Trying again now. Good thing I don't give up.. easily. #GoBigOrGoHome #3DPrinting

@xerxesshouldnthavewon A couple of days ago, I was lurking on /r/UltrawideMasterRace (salivating over some of those 32:9 monitors) and I saw a post with a #DigitalBlasphemy wallpaper.
That was some real nostalgia from... about a decade ago? I can’t even keep track anymore, to be honest.
-
Just remembered that #DigitalBlasphemy exists… it seems the guy is still active. Gonna need to subscribe again to improve my wallpaper situation!
Last time I subscribed I was using 3 1080p monitors in an Eyefinity setup 😅

Defeated the Elite Four in Pokemon Ruby, finally!
My method after being strong enough to beat 1-2 of them was to continuously defeat the first 2 and then lose, until my Pokemon were trained enough to beat the entire league :blobcatgoogly2:
Liking that shiny Electrode as well 😎 (random encounter, didn't hunt for it...)
-
@[email protected] Agreed, that’s a legit reason tbh.
I’m not de-googling myself so far, but for YouTube I’ve been enjoying Invidious a lot for a few months now. Just make sure to keep it up to date!
There’s also open source Android & iOS apps that are good for it (#clipious & #Yattee are my preference)
-
Finally found an Invidious client on F-Droid that supports logging in with your user account. It’s called “Clipious”, it seems to be in active development and the source is available on their GitHub, pretty cool! I don’t have to use the web interface anymore!
Still kinda jealous of Yattee on iOS though 😅

My Gameboy Pocket has reached its final form :coolmsn:
I added some cool buttons from Labfifteenco (transparent with white on top) and stickers on the back! Only the serial number sticker is original though.
Pretty happy with this build! When it’s within budget, I want to do similar stuff to my GBC now 😅
Also got buttons for my GBA from the same place, but that will be another post as it needs some more fixes as well.

It seems Zedlabz has released an OLED screen replacement for the GameBoy Color: https://www.zedlabz.com/products/oled-laminated-touch-screen-display-for-nintendo-game-boy-color-gbc-amoled-upgrade-mod-backlight-kit-colour-changing-logo-hispeedido
Pretty interesting as I am looking at upgrading my GBC at some point, but not sure about it's longevity. Don't want to put a screen that will yellow/burn-in in 5 years on a 25 year old device 😛

Gameboy status update :blobcatbolb:
Installed an IPS display & swapped the shell on the Gameboy Pocket that had a bad screen.
Managed to transfer the serial # sticker from the old shell, but not the larger sticker. Waiting for replacements to arrive...
Also purchased 4 rechargeable lithium AAA's since this thing seems to eat normal batteries in around 2 hours lol.
It works great and the install was pretty easy! Very happy with it!

Found a version of Marlin firmware for my Neptune 2S 3D printer and installed it today. Everything went fine!
It adds various stuff, the most immediate ones for me are a much better bed levelling wizard, and the better communication with OctoPrint. Also, there is no extremely loud beep when turning on the printer, yay 😅
This is the repo for it: https://github.com/just-trey/Marlin/tree/elegoo-neptune-2/config/Elegoo/Neptune-2
