Absolutely love it… Just gave the middle finger to Google and their privacy invasive practices with YouTube. How’d I do it? Used Podman, Yattee/Yattee Server and Invidious plus TailScale to run a privacy-preserving proxy that hopefully will slam the door on the adds and tracking that I’d normally have to deal with, and I will no longer hopefully have to fork over the dinero to Google for YouTube Premium. Now might be good time to repost my article about how to watch #Youtube without ads on Apple TV.

People seems to be more concerned about ads and tracking and big tech companies collecting and selling your data. You can watch Youtube videos without tracking for example via #Invidious . There are other solutions as well, but this is the one I’m using. In the article I explain how I watch Youtube on my Apple TV by using Invidious and an app called #Yattee

@cavalleto @DanielBCNA @samfdz Yo estuve un año con YT la India, pero algo han cambiado que ya hay problemas con las tarjetas. He probado varios países y nada. Llevo tiempo con Piped, que en tu caso al estar en Android es más fácil que ios ( donde uso la App #Yattee )

Szkoda że front endów do yt na iOS jest mało, niemniej #Yattee jest całkiem spoko mimo że ma sporo bugów i nie radzi sobie z kolejkowaniem. Niemniej gdy już odpali brak reklam i sponsor block robi robotę. Szkoda jednak że nie ma opcji pobierania. Niemniej i tak wolę przeglądać YouTube w ten sposób.

The one feature that #FreeTube seems to be missing is adding videos to my playback queue manually. I can do that with #Yattee easily enough. The fallback system in FreeTube seems more robust, though, and it is cross-platform. Yattee is available on #AppleTV, though, which is nice. #Invidious #YouTube

Any other #Yattee users here? I think I’ve finally gotten it all set up to be my customized, private access to #YouTube. I didn’t find it very intuitive to customize, but the dev is really active in the Matrix group and answered all of my questions to get me up and running.

I am using #invidious (https://github.com/iv-org/invidious-redirect) for quiet some time now as alternative #YouTube frontend/proxy.

Sadly I could not use it on my #Apple #TV - until now!

I found out about #Yattee (https://github.com/yattee/yattee) which is an awesome #opensource invidious (but not only) client for #iOS, #ipadOS and #tvOS.

It even has #SponsorBlock (https://github.com/ajayyy/SponsorBlock) integrated which enables auto-skpping #ads, sponsor segments, intros etc.

I am in love 😍

i #browser ci sono tutti, da brave a firefox, certo il motore interno è safari ma su mobile non vedi gran differenze.

Per le tastiere boh, non mi interessano molto.
