Want a transparent dock in #elementaryOS 8.1?

1️⃣ Open Terminal and run:
nano ~/.config/gtk-4.0/gtk.css

2️⃣ Paste this at the end:
CSS

dock {
background-color: transparent;
box-shadow: none;
border: none;
}

3️⃣ Save (Ctrl+O, Enter, Ctrl+X) and restart the dock: killall io.elementary.dock

PS. One thing that caught me out: the default project setting was for 1080 resolution at 25fps. Make sure you set it to 30 (or 60 if you’re a gamer, I guess) if you need to and not get caught out like I did as changing the FPS on an existing project throws out all your timings for effects, etc.

PPS. Couldn’t find a dedicated shortcut for centering/left-aligning the timeline at the playhead but Ctrl-plus/minus results in the former.

@ramiro_magno I'm also treading this path, substituting rstudio. For #rstat ESS is the way to go. Graphics will show up as a separate X window (on Linux). For code snippet I'm using yasnippet. But I'm still struggling when it comes to basic things like find function def (rgrep in emacs but ctrl-click in rstudio) or git workflow (need to get the hang of emacs magit)

Our robot runs on NixOS. Here is the problem it actually solves.

The EU Cyber Resilience Act makes reproducible builds, long-term support, and verifiable SBOMs a legal requirement.
Our CTRL-OS module runs NVIDIA Jetson on a stock Linux kernel with NixOS. We built a robot on top of it to test real-world integration.
Next: a Security Tracker for vulnerability exposure on Nix-based stacks.
