  1. I'm preparing a new version of my (6.0.0 -> 6.1.0)
    * a pop-up dialog to explain the icons used in the app
    * a preview of the new page
    * a partial solution to bug #6: bottom navigation didn't change when switching . Now it does, except for the current page navigation button.

    I'm still thinking about the list of badges and conditions to earn them. I might need to change the format to have an easier way to compute badges. If so, it'll be 7.0.0.

  2. Hi all, anyone experience with projects? I'd like to port a Hg repo there, with a file... But I'm using BY-SA license. Is it allowed or shall I change to ? Not that changing would be a problem, anyway.

  3. In the end, I've decided something a bit different: just found (and bought!) from Amazon a 60% with , Italian ISO layout and even double-shot for €80!
    It's a 60% so arrows as secondary functions. But still it's Amazon: I'll try it and if won't like it, I can simply return it .. and probably do for the one.

  4. In the end, here it came my new .
    The case is a barebone 1, .
    Switches are blue.
    Keycaps are side-printed, full 125 set plus and German sets, mixed together to create the Italian 142 layout on the keyboard.
    So, in the end "Dr. Black", my new keyboard, is here.
    I think I'll post something as soon as possible on @marco-bresciani

  5. In the end, I've bought a GMMK TKL ISO Barebone keyboard from , adding SMD blue switches and wonderfully cool 😉 side-printed PBT Dolch black keycaps (Italian ISO layout: ymdkey.com/collections/oem-pro) from (ymdkey.com?sca_ref=2424675.oUu).
    I've even added German ISO extra keycaps to basically have my perfect keyboard: Italian 142 ISO layout as in kbdlayout.info/KBDIT142/

    I'm indeed happy.

  6. @benjaminhollon
    I'm just waiting a couple of days to see if some colleague wants my RK61 or I'll return it for good.

    Then I'll surely but from . I've also read and saw nice reviews.
    I'm even a bit thrilled by their Split-64...

    Do you mind if I give you my affiliate link, if you want to buy one? I'm not actually payed by them, I've just received it when creating the account to place the order. 😇
    We could even exchange our links, if you want to buy from them. 😉

  7. And I'm going to buy from .

    Already prepared my (almost) perfect configuration:
    * 65% format,
    * -compatible PCB,
    * blue switches (with Cherry, too expensive...)
    * layout
    * Detachable USB cable (coiled, but no one's perfect)
    * No RGB ✌🏻
    * keycaps with side-printed laser-etched labels (double-shot are better, but black+gray keycaps with side-print only are cool... 🥹😈)

    It's €160 plus . Not cheap, but still a custom with nice and cool features!

  8. @fallenhitokiri
    Yes, same here. Keychron are a bit too expensive.
    Recently I've found and I'm going to buy there a custom (QMK-programmable!) keyboard in a few days.
    It's a 65% (ymdkey.com/collections/68-71-k), with ISO IT layout and PBT keycaps (ymdkey.com/collections/oem-pro)

    With cable, bag and blue Outemu switches, it'll be €160 plus VAT.

    There might be something for you: ymdkey.com?sca_ref=2424675.oUu
    DISCLAIMER: remove the query parameter to avoid my affiliate link. Just go to ymdkey.com

  9. @rridley
    Lovely. Just bought a Royal Kludge RK61 'cause it was described as double-shot PBT but it's actually a double-shot ABS. Didn't like shining keycaps ... 😮‍💨 Can return it, since I've bought through Amazon...
    Luckily I've found with nice side-printed laser-etched PBT keycaps.
    Disclaimer: I'm searching for ISO Italian layout.
    Where have you found those?

  10. @cooper
    How does it work with custom fees? I once ordered from the late ThinkGeek a $70 Chewbacca purse (wives, you know...) and I've been asked $50-something for custom fees.
    I'm thinking about a quote expensive (~$150) mechanical keyboard from , but I'm scared by custom fees.
    @Tay0

  11. So I moved to more standard things, and found out that the SK620 might be the thing I need.
    It's very light and small, with macro-programmable keys, ISO Italian layout and even a bit more low-profile than the others
    There still be a couple of defects: brown switches and ABS keycaps that usually get used and shiny in a few weeks or less.
    What to do? The cool but heavy by (€130 plus custom fees) or the small and light SK620 but with shiny brownies?

  12. So a 65% seems fine: I want arrow keys. I also want ISO Italian layout, possible key programmability.
    I've found a very interesting keyboard at (I even have an affiliate link, if someone wants: ymdkey.com?sca_ref=2424675.oUu), a 65% one, with compatible , nice PBT keycaps with side print for Italian ISO layout, blue , ... What else?

  13. Started return process on for the nice but uncomfortable Royal Kludge .
    Nice piece of , pretty good quality and functionalities, but I can't get used to the 60% format: I need arrow keys.
    Expert or users will surely get used to that anyway. 🤷🏻‍♂️
    Pity for the keyboard, it's a nice one.

    It's a 60% so arrows as secondary functions. But still it's Amazon: I'll try it and if won't like it, I can simply return it .. and probably do for the #YMDK one.

  17. It's been one year (and few days, see marcoxbresciani.codeberg.page/) since I'm tinkering with my and even though I'm (still) not (yet?) a touch-typer I think I'm almost getting used to it and I'm also presumably back to my old speed, but never measured it before and not even now, actually... just a feeling.

    @mechanicalkeyboards

  18. Wondering if my might be part of this or if it's too big...

  19. Hey, pals!
    Has anyone experience with FKCaps custom ?
    fkcaps.com/custom/
    I would live to create (and buy!) my own perfect set for my , but even though I'm aiming at DSA PBT, I'm wondering if laser-printed labels would last longer or not.
    Are there similar alternatives to this service, with dye-sub or double-shot?

  20. In the end, I've just finally decided to climb the Colemak-DH mountain.

    I've never been a touch-typer but using 3-4 fingers per hand, moving hands here and there, I was able to easily play it at around 75wpm with basically no errors.

    I've bought an past summer: I'm still struggling with the "normal" QWERTY (see layout here marcoxbresciani.codeberg.page/), not yet able to go beyond 40wpm or so, with frequent errors.

  21. Speaking about , I was reading and studying the as a possible first split buy.
    But then, thanks to @rriver I've found out the nice Yushakobo store in Japan that is the reference store for the Lily98.
    Then I've found out that Lily98 is and that has been designed by a Japanese.
    My wife is Japanese.
    Next summer will be back in Japan after three years.
    Well, I think it's worth a stroll to the Yushakobo store.
    💪🏻

    Cool. Excluding milady IBM Model M that I have to properly clean due to a malfunctioning key, I'm still on TKL format ( Majestouch 2 and 1 barebone with custom keycaps).
    I've tried the Royal Kludge RK61: very nice piece and quality, but 60% format is too small for me.
    I'm still tempted by the 65%, just like your K6.
    Or the big jump to an ergo/split one like .

  23. I'm almost thinking to sell my 2 TKL with layout and MX Blue , customized with blank keycaps (no Windows logo): keyboardco.com/keyboard/italia (29/08/2019 review is mine...).
    If someone wants it, I'm here.

  25. Well, wonderful keyboard but, except for the price (that is anyway absolutely reasonable for such a keyboard), the weight is almost the same as the , so no gain. Unfortunately, because I liked that configuration very much!

  26. I'm becoming a nerd.. Owned an IBM Model M for 25 years. A couple of keys became a bit unreliable, so I bought a 2 TKL with switches in 2019.
    Now I'm planning to grab a ISO, but I'd like to understand, first, how to use and to program the keys in order to have Italian layout: there are no Italian accented letters in VIA/QMK UI.
    Does anyone have VIA /QMK usage experience? Can someone explain me?

  27. We've contacted him again. everything is fine.
    In , , they had forecasted a 3m tide but arrived only 80cm.
    Alert will remain whole night, but unless other quakes, everything should be fine.
    🙏🏻 thanks everyone for sharing my previous message.

  28. Please, if there is someone from , Yamagata-ken, , please give us some news about . My father in law is there.
