There is no reason to buy an RK61 60% keyboard, not even at a yard sale. It consists of bugs, and bad design choices. It's useless.
It even has two independent keyboard controllers, one for Bluetooth and one for USB, so that there can be different annoying bugs for wireless and USB operation.
If the hardware were somewhat reliable it might be worth reading what the OSS keyboard community has to say, but it isn't reliable, and what I read on GitHub is just sad.

I got a #RK61 "60% keyboard", German 62-key style, at a flea market. Some keycaps were missing - €8 appeared to be fair. I soon noticed a defective "I" key but it didn't take long to find the one broken SMD diode in the #keyboard matrix, a 1ct component. A set of of black keycaps, including 3 keys needed for the German layout, came from China for €3.20 (how do they do that?). I decided to keep the white keys for A-Z and space. BT5 works great with my mobile, good for traveling and writing.

Started return process on #Amazon for the nice but uncomfortable Royal Kludge #RK61.
Nice piece of #keyboard, pretty good quality and functionalities, but I can't get used to the 60% format: I need arrow keys.
Expert #vim or #Emacs users will surely get used to that anyway. 🤷🏻♂️
Pity for the keyboard, it's a nice one. -

In the end, I've decided something a bit different: just found (and bought!) from Amazon a #Royal #Kludge #RK61 60% #keyboard with #blue #switches, Italian ISO layout and even double-shot #PBT #keycaps for €80!
It's a 60% so arrows as secondary functions. But still it's Amazon: I'll try it and if won't like it, I can simply return it .. and probably do for the #YMDK one. -
