Random commentator thinks that it's mostly about a controversial feature (contracts) and partly about lack of give a shit (members failing to vote).
As I said, I know nothing about the players here, but I know about ISO process. The national delegation structure means that the process is only as open and fair as the political establishment wants it to be. It is easy for a technically incompetent bureaucrat to burrow in as a gatekeeper and hold their position indefinitely.

My AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT under Linux continues to puzzle me.
Today I investigated seven graphics paths using GravityMark 1.89:
Vulkan, OpenGL, Raytracing & Compute under Linux
Vulkan, DirectX 11 & DirectX 12 via Proton
7 out of 7 tests successful. No hardlock.
And then I looked at the GPU black box …
150.2 W average
Repeatedly over 200 W
242 W as the highest reported value!
With a configured PPT limit of 175 W.
Is this a clue to our mysterious GPU/PCI failures?
Not yet proven.
But a damn interesting new question!

We just watched the recoding of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
Malta set new standards for hosting. Not bigger and louder, but crafted with love and care. The postcards with all the scenes and dancers were exceptional. Having last years winner Lou Deleuze transition into ESC 2026 winner Dara was genius. They also had a tribute segment for the stage and org crew.
Combined with the mass of strong artists and songs an absolute pleasure to watch. -
It's not as if Musk is sitting behind a huge control panel, toggling switches and restricting Starlink access. There are real people who take commands and have no problem executing them unquestioningly.
