Today, we mainly hiked through farmland to explore the iron age fort of Knockfarrel, a fantastic viewpoint overlooking Dingwall and the Cromarty Firth. It was a fairly easy hike (8 miles, 13 km) with only one steeper section, but we really enjoyed it. #hiking #schottland #scotland #Dingwall

The tall #trees towards the left are called the #memory trees (or The #Memories). They are exotic species which were brought to the estate as saplings by visitors in the 1800 and early 1900s.
