I kind of figured out the issue with DWMC I think, but it’s still not making me optimistic. Turns out the console doesn’t instantly crash #RMMZ games on Windows, so I was able to find a series of errors where it “can’t read resolution of null” in pixi.js.
Pixi.js is a standard framework included in RPG Maker/NWJS that I have never needed to touch. I haven’t added or changed anything involving pixi.js in years. I’ve even replaced my frameworks with the stock version to make sure it’s using the intended defaults. The fact that it suddenly can’t read one of its most core framework scripts is a sign of how terribly RPG Maker erodes over time.
I’m inclined to think all of this started due to recent Windows/MacOS updates that patched some pretty significant web rendering vulnerabilities. It seems possible that some change made to address those vulnerabilities affected something that pixi was using to function.

because #gimp 3.0 looks hideous with the (absolutely outdated) GTK theme I'm using, I wanted to change the system theme...
the issue is, I'm in #DWM on #ArchLinux, and I use the #XFCE bar, so I have the XFCE settings app installed, but the icon theme and gtk theme can not be changed from there.
luckily, I have #Cinnamon also installed, so I can log in there, use the settings app there, and that works.
why though?! #JustLinuxThings

Настал день, когда мне для работы программистом микроконтроллеров наконец пригодилась математическая статистика из ВУЗ(овского) курса по теории вероятностей. Есть очень интересная технология для автоматического радиоизмерения расстояния. Технология основана на UWB трансиверах. Позволяет измерять время пролёта радиоволны. В этом тексте написал как я исследовал измерения расстояния, при помощи ASICа UWB трансивера DWM1000.

@thelinuxcast #voidlinux is more in the experienced / advanced linux user area. I just installed it last week on a laptop and it went well - just one issue with locking the screen when lid closes that I'm working on. 1+ weeks in, a very nice distro and I like it a lot! But more time is needed.

What's neat about Toot is that it makes it easy to live inside my local timeline if I'd like, or easy to switch to the public or just go to my home. I'm a pretty big fan. Oh, and this is from my new #thinkpadx220 by the way. Running #dwm and #alpinelinux. Best combo ever. This thing runs better than my fancy desktop computer!
