And I got started on a pixel art piece. (I am still a relatively new artist, so this is pretty much a 1:1 of a reference image for the sketch).

This is one of my latest #Tkinter applications, known simply as "Toolkit" but to be uploaded to GitHub as "novaToolkit" eventually.

This application utilizes the theme and styling features of `tkinter.ttk` up to a point, and not on the text and scrolled text windows in any way.

On Sep 24 the #bspwm project tagged version 0.9.11 of their #X11 tiling window manager at https://github.com/baskerville/bspwm/releases/tag/0.9.11 . This brings along quite a few changes since their last release on Aug 3, 2020. #XLibre #Xingsday

@mntmn @holo_memory I'd highly suggest a tiling window manager for the smaller screen! I personally love #bspwm but there are loads of alternatives out there, also for wayland.

Finally find the door to #Wayland thanks to #niri. If #bspwm was the perfect tiling WM for me in X11, niri is just as good while expanding the work space possibilities.
I'm so grateful that some devs eventually built a strong, reliable, fully featured tiling WM for Wayland. I may even write a post about it. That means a lot 😂

Kinda frustrated with the state of #desktops in #Linux / #BSD / #Unix

You can either have a fully functional, but kind of frustrating-to-use (too mouse-centric) desktop with Gnome or KDE Plasma, or you can have a lean, efficient, and fast wm/compositor like #i3, #sway #awesomewm #evilwm, #cwm, #bspwm, or whatever you like, BUT you will constantly be scratching your head when #Gnome and #GTK programs either start very slowly or refuse to run at all, and are constantly trying to figure out what combination of configuration, daemon, and small animal sacrifices are necessary to do what the big, bloated desktops do automatically.

It's freaking exhausting, and I want to go back to the days that every one just ran #IceWM, #Enlightenment, or #WindowMaker.

P.S., Just for clarity, I really do love #KDE #Plasma. I think it's a wonderful, easy-to-use, and extremely flexible desktop. But sometimes I really don't want a desktop, I just want a lean-and-basic UI that stays out of my way (for home stuff vs. work stuff, generally).
