  1. @joelanman My favourite Youtube/Google #deceptivepattern: only way to log into a work Google account (even .gov.uk!) is redirecting via acount.youtube.com (so admins can't block YT), and by default that sends a notification to my personal iPad Youtube App (that has 0 work accounts set up, and where I don't log into YT).

  6. @joelanman Yep. That's one of the reasons why, after reviewing #Figma , we rejected it, and advised everyone to do the same. We want an #accessibleweb . Figma should be an #a11y . They are perfectly positioned to lead the way. And they choose differently.

  9. One thing per page is one of the most powerful design patterns we have. It makes it so much easier for people to understand a page, to resolve any errors and only see the pages and questions that are relevant to them. If research says it's better to combine some questions, do that, but it's a great start point.

  10. Small but important update to the GOV.UK Design System guidance:

    > Accept month names written out in full or abbreviated form (for example, ‘january’ or ‘jan’) as some users may enter months in this way.

This came from quant data on Apply for teacher training service, showing that many people did this.

It also follows our error validation guidance: "accept information in different formats, as long as it’s not ambiguous"

    Good work @frankieroberto !
