Israeli occupation forces are escalating settler-colonial violence in illegally annexed East Jerusalem: 14 Palestinian homes in al-Bustan, Silwan face demolition, displacing 120 residents including children under the pretext of lacking building permits that Israel systematically denies Palestinians, while expropriating land for "parks" to complete cultural erasure.
The occupation forces Palestinians to demolish their own homes in Wadi Qadum and Jabal Mukaber, and plans mass expulsion of 40 families in Sheikh Jarrah's Umm Haron community to build 316 illegal settler units on stolen land, severing northern Palestinian Jerusalem from the city center.
This is demographic engineering through systematic home demolitions, forced displacement of indigenous Palestinians, and illegal settlement expansion around Al-Aqsa Mosque - war crimes under the Fourth Geneva Convention over which the ICC has jurisdiction.

[...] These measures of uprooting hundreds of Palestinians on one hand and building large settlements on the other threaten to transform Sheikh Jarrah from a Palestinian neighborhood that is part of the Palestinian space surrounding the Old City into an Israeli settlement that severs the center of Palestinian Jerusalem from its northern sections, leaving beside it only a few small and threatened Palestinian enclaves. Over the years, Sheikh Jarrah has become a symbol and example of the struggle over the character and identity of all of Jerusalem. Now we must return and fight for it again," they emphasized.

Il y a une tendance dans les bib et archives, que je n'avais pas rencontrée jusqu'ici, à se dispenser de publier des politiques de développement des collections sous prétexte que "on ne fait que suivre la loi, notre mission nous est donnée par notre tutelle".
D'abord c'est faux - il y a plein de décisions à prendre, même si on a un mandat. Ensuite c'est vraiment se cacher derrière une pseudo-neutralité. C'est paresseux et c'est servile.
