We are not seeking pity, nor do we want words spoken and then forgotten. We want the world to feel our true pain, and for that feeling to translate into action, genuine support, and real help.
My children don't need luxuriesโฆ they need food to satisfy their hunger, clean water, medicine when they are sick, clothes to protect them, and a place where they feel safe.
The hardest thing a person can endure is to see their children suffer while standing helplessly by, unable to do anything for them. ๐
